Architectural Monuments Expo

Romanian Monuments expo Romanian Monuments expo
Alexandru writes:

Today I took part in an exposition regarding architectural monuments from Transylvania, old buildings that belonged to the aristocracy of the 18th and 19th centuries. This exposition was held by the students of my University - "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism, and also students from the University of Art History, all under the guidance of a very good teacher from my University - Mrs Anca Bratuleanu - architect, specialist in architecture history and restoration, a very dedicated and enthusiastic person.

This project was held over 3 years and involved about 400 students, who provided photos with theese buildings, after going into trips that they paid from their own money. Now, they are trying to create a web site for this huge archive and complete it with data about each objective. All this in the name of History, Value and Beauty, to protect and promote our national heritage.

The photos show the location of the expo, photos with the palaces presented, the attendance - numerous teachers from my University, truly some of the best specialists in this domain, Mrs. Bratuleanu, while presenting the project and also the leader of the students involved, Cristina, a 5th-year student in architecture, and some of her colleagues, giving us some insights into their work.
