Adrian and Alina are working on making a Roman Flag. First they purchased a replica of an eagle from the internet, then affixed it to the top of a wooden stick with glue, and waited for the glue to dry.

The Roman Flags were made with a wooden rod, with an Aquilla or Eagle on top of the rod, and with a small piece of cloth below it, with text identifying the particular group carrying the flag.
In this case, the text that goes with it is LEG VII CL P, which is short for LEGGIO VII CLAUDIA PIA FIDELIS, the military unit in charge of Cioroiu Nou, 2000 years ago.
It is important to make these replicas in order to get a better feel for how such things are made, and for demonstration and educational purposes later.
