Ghost village of Mecea
Adrian and Alina Neagoe, as well as Arch. Dr. Florin Ridiche, from Oltenia Museum, were in a small and forgotten village called Mecea, in the north of Oltenia, at the GPS point 44.77671°N, 23.80163°E ALT=388 m.
Here there is an ancient wooden village, with wooden shingle or shake roofs, in Romanian "Shitza"
Many of the houses are empty and ruined, made all of wood including the roof, with many important elements for ethnography, and very beautiful.

Such ethnography sites must be protected by the authorities as ancient sites, because they are part of our culture and history.
Part of this village has new roofs and even new houses, but many are old and are now ghost houses.
It is important for architects to see houses like these, because elements of them should be included in modern projects as a new look, and possibly for construction solutions.

These wooden ghost houses are part of a village with rebuilt houses, but in this old area of the village the owners are dead, so there is no one to protect and rebuild the houses.
