Tumuls in Olt County
As with many of these tumuls, this one, Fisa 15, lies in an agricultural field, and has been partially ploughed.

The tumuls are not always easy to see. They consist of minor isolated hills in a relatively flat landscape, usually dedicated to agriculture. This is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, it makes them very easy to identify. On the other hand, it means that they are subject to being destroyed by the very technology which makes them easily identifiable.

The fact that the tumuls are mostly in prime agricultural land makes them easy to identify, but also exposes them to degradation by agricultural machinery.

On the road from Craiova to Caracal from GPS point on the road, turn right, south, 150 metres south, a tumul without artefacts.
The tumul is surrounded by agricultural land, and the tumul itself has been at least partially ploughed by agricultural machinery.
